Welcome to the Tropical Ecology Lab of Sreejith Ashtamoorthy! We are based at the Department of Forest Ecology, Kerala Forest Research Institute-Peechi, Kerala. We try to understand the fundamental ecological and physiological processes of plants and their relations with different environmental factors. We are trying to answer the interesting but challenging questions like;
 
1.    How does the changing climate affect the structure and composition of tropical forests?
2.    Why do certain plants cope much better than some others in the same ecosystem with the changing climate?
3.    How does the climate affect the phenology and life history patterns of tropical forest species?
4.    What changes have been brought by climate change in the species diversity of Western Ghats?
